Seeing All of You

In every brushstroke of my latest piece, “Seeing All of You,” I invite you into a world where reality and dream merge, where the layers of a face unravel to reveal a profound presence beneath. This 12 by 35-inch oil painting is both an exploration and a celebration—a vivid journey into the heart of identity and connection.

At its center is a woman’s face, but not as you’ve seen before. Her features fracture and overlap, each eye, each curve of a lip, rendered with sharp realism, piercing through the canvas and inviting you to look deeper. One eye, larger and more commanding than the rest, draws you in, demanding your attention and reflection. Around her, colors flow like liquid emotion—blues, yellows, oranges, purples—melding with organic shapes that seem to breathe and shift, evoking flames, foliage, and the intangible essence of life itself. The background pulses with warm and cool hues that both contrast and complement, stirring a tension between the known and the unknown, the tangible and the fleeting.

This artwork found its spark in my wife, whose spirit and essence inspired every vivid detail and cascading color. Through her, I sought to capture more than a likeness—I wanted to capture the many facets of being seen and truly known. The creation of “Seeing All of You” was a process of peeling back layers, of allowing the familiar to dissolve into something dreamlike and new, and in doing so, embracing the beauty and complexity that lies within each of us.

This piece is an invitation—to meet yourself and others beyond the surface, to recognize the fragments that make us whole and the emotions that flow beneath. It’s about presence, vulnerability, and the dynamic dance between clarity and abstraction. I hope it encourages you to witness not only what is visible but also the unseen depths that shape us.

“Seeing All of You” stands as a reminder that every gaze carries meaning and that, in truly seeing another, we unlock new realms of connection and understanding. May this work inspire you to look more deeply, feel more freely, and embrace the vivid tapestry of human experience.
